Oral B Toothbrush Give Away

I was contacted to review the Oral B Professional Deep Sweep electric toothbrush.  I’ve been an electric toothbrush user for years, so I was curious to see what the Deep Sweep had to offer versus my current brand which was recommended by my dentist.  First, the brush was easy to assemble and charged quickly.  It has a slim feature, and fits nicely on my counter without taking up much space.

This little baby packs a lot of power too.  It has a larger head than my current brush and the bristles are stiffer.  During the initial use, I did have difficulty maneuvering the brush around my mouth because of the larger head.  I’ve gotten used to it now, so it’s quite easy for me to use.  There’s little spatter with this brush.  A lot of electric brushes sent the toothpaste everywhere when your brushing, not the Oral B.  This model has a few cool features.  The bristles fade when it’s time to change the head.  I love this, you don’t have to guess.  It also pulsates if you’re putting too much pressure on the brush.  This is a great feature, you won’t up end with sore or bleeding gums if you have sensitive teeth.  My current model lacks both of these features.  The brush also prompts you to switch from the front to the back and from the upper to the lower teeth every 30 seconds.  Dentists recommend that you brush for 2 minutes for a thorough cleaning.   My current brush has this feature.

The best feature on this brush, the bristles move in a side to side motion.  This action gives you a better cleaning than regular electric brushes.  It is also the most important feature for me because I have deep pockets around my lower, front teeth.  Flossing is a must for me even after using my electric brush.  With this model, you get a deep clean.  It goes deep into the crevices.  One of it’s selling points is that it removes 100% more plague.  I don’t know about 100% more, but it does give a great cleaning.

The only negative that I found, was the head lacks a cover.  It’s small and would be great for travel.   Because the charger on my current electric brush is rather large, I take a manual brush when I travel.  Unfortunately, a manual brush doesn’t come close to giving the cleaning that an electric brush gives.  To remedy the lack of a head cover, I’ll just stick it in a plastic bag before placing it in my cosmetic bag.  I really want to take this baby with me.

I highly recommend the Oral B Professional.  I’m not a dentist, but I switched from a manual brush years ago and will never go back.  Let me also add that my dental cleanings take less time since I switched to an electric brush.  I have both brushes setting next to each other.  I find myself reaching for the Oral B now.  Mother 2 Mother wants you to try one for yourself.  We’re giving away one Oral B Professional to one of our readers.  Here’s how you can win:

Fearless Five Super Hero Review

Fearless Five books

I received the Fearless Five Super Hero books.  They were beautifully packaged and wrapped with a pretty orange ribbon.  There are five books in the series, I ordered the complete set.  I’ll start with the first book entitled Genesis of the Fearless Five.  The book is beautifully illustrated.  The characters are adorable and the colors in the book bright.  This book is about the creation of the Fearless Five.  It teaches children to use their imagination, which is exactly what they do.  They work together to come up with the names Phenom, Tank, Element, Blaze and Bender.  Thus we have the creation of the Fearless Five.  During the creation of the Fearless Five the children make remarks about each other’s looks and abilities.  The lesson in this book is self-esteem and having a positive image of yourself and what you can do in spite of what others think about you.  Another lesson is to get outside and away from the computer games and explore mother nature.  I agree, our children are losing the value of being outside and exploring nature, exercising and being able to entertain themselves.

The second book is The Missing Baby Birds.  Again, this book encourages the children to go outside and create their own fun instead of playing video games.  They discover a bird’s nest, but the baby birds are missing.  They go on a mission to find the baby birds and return them to their mommies.  They discover that the baby birds are lured out of the nest and “birdnapped” by the wicked Cyren.  When the Fearless Five first encounter Cyren, they are frightened of her.  They overcome their fears and set the baby birds free so they can return to their mommies.  The lesson in this book is to be aware of Strangers and to run to a safe adult if the stranger tries to lure them or makes them feel uncomfortable.

The third book is The Really Hot Day.  The lesson in this book is to conserve water.  The Fearless Five are unable to enjoy a dip in the pool because Mr. Dome wants to cause a drought, and corner the market on the water in the city.  The Fearless Five capture Mr. Dome and the villains flee.  The water is returned to normal and the Fearless Five enjoy popsicles and a dip in the pool for their reward.

The fourth book is The Total Blackout.  The lesson in this book is to conserve energy.  Dr. Dome sends one of his villians to consumer all the wasted energy in the city.  The more wasted energy the villains consumes, the stronger Dr. Dome gets.  The Fearless Five will have none of it.  They cause the villains to blow a circuit and power is restored.

The fifth book in the series is The Big Mess.  The lesson in this book is about bullying.   Phenom is captured by Dr. Dome who is mean to her.  He ties her up and bullies her.  To the rescue the Fearless Five go

Each book has a lesson plan in the back, which will help with teaching the lesson to your child.  Again, the book is beautifully illustrated and the colors bright.  The series is appropriate for ages Pre-K and up.

All and all, I’m pleased with the purchase.  I see myself reading this series of books over and over to my grandson.  Head over to the Fearless Five website and make a purchase today.

Cozy Cuddlez Give Away

Take a look at what we found at Cozy Cuddlez I received the frog Wipe Case this week, it’s adorable. The case is covered in a soft flannel and it’s sturdy. I love the little frog embellishment on the case too. Another great feature is the soft colors, they are so soothing. You must put something in my grandson’s hands if you want to be successful changing his diaper, this case is perfect. He loves the frogs and the softness of the fabric. The enclosed wipes are soft and moist. They’re great for wiping his mouth and hands after meals. Normally he takes off or turns his head so I can’t wipe his face, but when I pull out Mr. Frog he concedes. I’m giving this case Three Snaps. It’s earned its place in my Grandma bag.

Valery Vargo is the designer of these adorable cases. She is the mother of 4 wonderful children, and she has taken on the responsibility of 3 additional children as a result of her current relationship. Valery choose to become a SAHM to her 7 children. To supplement her family’s income, she created Cozy Cuddlez. She designs these cases in a variety of colors and fabrics.

Valery is quite creative, she’s come up with another use for the cases in addition to using it for wipes. She’s created a case that comes with a pack of 8 crayons, 4 pencils, glue stick, eraser and scissors. Valery said the case comes with “All the basics that kids need. It is thin enough to fit in a backpack and is hard plastic to make sure that nothing gets crushed. I have 6 kids in my house that are in school and I have made them all one for this up coming year and they love them”. Use your imagination with the cases, they make great gifts.

Take a look at Valery’s designs at http://www.cozycuddlez.com/ Leave a comment here on the case that you like and subscribe to our blog on the left. We will enter you into our Cozy Cuddlez Give Away. Be sure to let us know your preference of wipes or school supplies, and leave an email address so we may contact you. Contest is open to US Citizens only and ends midnight August 31, 2008. Winner will receive the case that they’ve commented on. One entry per person please. Case will be mailed directly from Cozy Cuddlez to the winner. Good Luck!
