Adorable Rain Gear For Toddlers

I purchased this adorable frog rain set for my grandson several months ago.  We had taken him and my granddaughter to The Picture People for photos, and they had this adorable Kidorable set as a prop.  I couldn’t get my grandson out of it.  Each time we walked toward him, he would take off running.  Finally I bargained,  I told him that I would purchase a set for him if he would take it off so we could leave.  Now, I normally don’t bargain with my grandchildren, but since I had fallen in love with it too it was a win-win situation.  I found the set at Amazon.  Depending on size, the rain boots are up to $32.00, the umbrella $13.00, and the jacket up to $30.00.  



Kidorable also has the set in ladybug, fireman, dinosaur, and a pirate to name a few.  This set would make a great birthday or Christmas gift.  The boots are perfect for those rainy days ahead and the umbrella is just as adorable.  This will surely generate a few giggles too.

Wraps for Toddlers

Wraps are in!  No, I’m not talking about wraps for food.  Dresses to wrap adorable little girls in.  I love wrap dresses and if they’re in for our little girls, I’m sure they will be making them for mom too. 

Diane Von Furstenberg has teamed up with Gap and has designed this bold dress for your toddler.  She has actually created an entire line of clothing for toddlers to celebrate life and color.  I think the tunic and leggings below are adorable.  You can find the sandals in her collection too.

First Birthday Tutus

 Look what we’ve found!  Another fabulous find.  It’s the most adorable birthday tutus that I’ve seen in a rainbow of colors.  This adorable creation is being crafted by Amber at Beana Baby Boutique.  Beana Baby Boutique was inspired by Amber’s curly top blonde daughter who she nicknamed ” Bean “. 

Amber stated that she wanted a few fun things for her daughter, and had a difficult time
finding them locally.  She started making the dresses, tutus etc for her and then began
getting referrals.  The rest is history.  Amber is a proud member of the Mompack and specializes in birthday outfits. 


 I can tell you that I will be purchasing a set for Zarriah’s birthday.  She will be having her first birthday pictures taken in the set.  The biggest decision will be which one.   I thought it was going to be the set at the top.  I’ve fallen in love with the set at the bottom too.

Fabulous Baby Finds – Alice Baby Shoes

Are these fabulous or what?  I absolutely adore them and had to add them to my Fabulous Baby Find list.  These are a must for my Zarriah.  I just brought a ton of shoes for her for Christmas, but these will go on the Easter list for sure.  These are custom made shoes.  Now don’t let those 2 little words frighten you.  You can purchase them at a great price, $38.00, at Lollipop Moon.  Love that store.  This shoe is called The Alice, and is great for any formal occasion.  I have church in mind for Zarriah.  She will be able to wear them every Sunday until she outgrows them.  They also have The Audrey, which is adorable, The Suzette and the list goes on.  You need to head over and check out their fabulous collection.  Styles and prices vary, they have something for everyone.

New Book Series: Fearless Five Super Heroes

I love discovering fabulous products for my grandchildren and readers.  I was notified this morning about a book series about five African American Super Heroes.  The super heroes are called the Fearless Five.  What a great concept.  As an African American, I have a difficult time finding toys and other items that focus on African American children.   It’s so disappointing, especially in 2012.  I’m sure my African American readers can relate, so I thought I would share this find. 

My grandson is a big fan of Super Heroes.  He loves Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk,  so I jumped at the opportunity to purchase this series of books.  The series is about five characters:  Bender, Blaze, Tank, Element and Phenom.  They are all adorable.  The concept is to raise the self-esteem of African American children.  According to experts, a child’s self image is developed by the age of seven.  As with any parent, I want my grandchildren to grow up with a positive self-image.  I want them to believe they can accomplish anything with hard work. 

The books send messages to the children on self esteem, team work, education, and morals to name a few.  Since I just ordered the books, I can’t give an honest opinion on the messages, but I am looking forward to doing a review and hopefully a give away.    

The books can only be ordered on the Fearless Five site at this time.  I love the fact that you can check out through Paypal, it’s quick and easy.   I’m hoping this series will be a huge hit for our African American children.  I would love to see this concept come out on DVD too.

Fabulous Baby Finds – Carter’s Tunics & Capris

Spring is here!  Yes, it’s time for me to get over my winter blues and start searching for what’s hot this spring and summer for our toddlers.  As my readers know, I’m a bargain shopper.  I want quality at a good price and one place that I find it is at Boscovs Department Store.   This establishment has been in business since 1921.  You can find a diverse selection of goods for purchase.  I shop at Boscovs for Xavier.  I’ve been purchasing bargains for him for the past 3 years.  The price is reasonable, the cloths are of quality and they wash up well.  

I’ve found these adorable capris and tunic by Carter’s while I was browsing and thought I would share my finds with you.   It’s so cute and bright.  The capri’s can be purchased in sizes 2T – 4T.  They’re regularly $14.00, but they’re on sale for $5.60.  No, $5.60 is not a typo.  It’s the real deal.  They come in turquoise, lime, gray, and pink.   The tunic is on sale for $5.60 too.  If I was a gambler I would play that number.

Pillow Pets: Buzzy Bumble Bee Pillow Review

I love spoiling my grandson.  He loves The Bee movie, and fell in love with the Buzzy Bumble Bee Pet Pillow when he saw it.  Mama surprised him this week, and shipped this adorable pillow to him.  I can’t wait to receive the phone call this week-end when opens his package.  Although my grandson was partial to Buzzy Bumble Bee, the Patriot Pup, Jolly Giraffe, and Ms. Lady Bug are adorable too.  You can view the entire selection of Pet Pillows available by visiting www.mypillowpets.com  They are quickly becoming the rage! 
I purchased the large 18″ pillow; however, you can purchase the pillow in the 11″ as well.  The pillows are made out of chenille, which makes them oh so soft and cuddly.  You unvelcro their belly, and thus your child has a snugly pillow.   You get a bonus ladies, they’re machine washable and should be air dried.        

I actually found the Buzzy Bumble Bee at CVS for $19.99.  The price was comparable to Walmart, but a little more than Amazon.  Amazon is offering free shipping on their Pet Pillows too, so check out their site if you’re interested in purchasing.
