Thanksgiving Kindergarten Activities

Kindergarten Activities

Thanksgiving is around the corner.  Family and friends will be gathering around the fireplace.  They will spend the day watching football.  Furthermore, they will consume huge amounts of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and beverages.   Give the children a few activities to keep them occupied while dinner is being prepared.  Start gathering Thanksgiving kindergarten activities for the kids early.  The Macy’s Day parade will be on starting at 9:00am EST; however, children do become restless.

I’m constantly creating printables.  Subscribe to Mother 2 Mother Blog, if you’re interested in Preschool or Kindergarten activities.  Holidays excite children, so I created a few Thanksgiving Day printables.

Coloring is always a great choice for Preschool and Kindergarten aged children.  I try not to miss an opportunity for learning.  The  pack includes coloring pages, math, and matching.  A bonus word search activity is included for older childrenAssign a teen or another adult to help the children while you’re cooking.

Our Thanksgiving Kindergarten Activities include an addition and subtraction math sheet.  We should be encouraging preschool and kindergarten aged children to count.  They should become familiar with numbers up to 20. Additionally,  you can help them color a turkey, pie and a few drumsticks.

Add other activities to the list including making a Toilet Paper Roll Turkey.  This activity allows children to color, glue, and to be imaginative.  Its a great way to enhance your child’s motor skills.  Furthermore, we have a frame that the kids can make.  Take pictures throughout the day.  Print and give each child a picture for their Fall Leaf Frame.
