I’ll Get You – Daughter Posts Video of Family Law Judge Beating Her

Oh modern technology!  You gotta love it.  This beautiful young lady decided to video her father who is a Family Law judge beating her with a belt and posted it on Youtube.  When I watched it, I was stunned to say the least.  It was hard to believe that anyone in this day and age would be using corporeal punishment on their child, especially a family law judge.  What made it worst was the fact that her mother was in on it.

This young lady has cerebral palsy, which just makes me cringe.  She was caught downloading music to her computer.  Hello, that’s what teens do.  I disciplined my daughter a hundred times when she was a teen for downloading music and virusus on the computer.  Did I resort to beating her, no.

During the beating with a leather belt, the judge said that he was going to beat her into submission.  Her mother told her to lay on her stomach and take it like a woman.  How sick is this?  The young lady was 16 years old.  Not only that, we as woman are suppose to allow some man to beat our ass.  I don’t think so. This is what you want to teach your daughter?

This brilliant young lady understood abuse, and knew that her father needed help.  She also understood that abuse gets worst not better.  She hold on to the video for 7 years, and finally decided to post it last week so the public could get a glimpse of who he really was.  Why, because she said her father was now harassing her.  The judge when questioned about beating his daughter, stated that it wasn’t as bad as it looked.  He also said that he had apologized.  The mother apologized to her daughter years ago, and left the marriage.  I wonder whay?

I’m happy to say that Judge William Adams is being investigated.  I can’t image this man making a decision about anyone’s life after seeing the video.  As of yet he hasn’t been removed from the bench, but it has been decided that a visiting judge should hear his cases until the investigation has been completed.

I applaud this young lady for having the courage to expose her abusive father.  She now regrets posting the video, but believes that he needs help and exposing him was the best way of pushing him into some kind of therapy.  Applause!  Applause!

Mom Sues McDonalds

Your marketing gimmick is targeting my children!  That’s whats behind a  lawsuit filed by Monet Parham of Sacramento, CA against McDonalds.  Ms. Parham is a mother of two small children, and she’s feed up with McDonalds’ marketing team targeting small children with their Happy Meals.  Ms. Parham has stated that McDonalds marketing team gets into children’s heads, and it makes parenting extremely difficult.  She has to say no to her children repeatedly.

Happy Meals have been around for at least 30 years.  My daughter used to ask for them constantly when she was growing up.  I certainly didn’t allow her to drive me to the brink of wanting to sue McDonalds, and I won’t allow my grandson to take me there either.  I just regulated when my daughter could have one and when she couldn’t, and I’m taking the same approach with my grandson.  From one mother to another, who’s the parent here?  Are we going to sue Walmart next because they’re selling toys that our children constantly ask for? Are they going to sue Nintendo because they can’t get their child off the couch and nowthey have health problems? There’s no manual for a parent, at times it just requires common sense.

According to Ms. Parham, her six year old wants the toys from the Happy Meals not necessarily the food.  Okay, she’s a child.  It’s our job as parents to say no and stand our ground.  She’s six, she can’t drive to McDonalds and get a Happy Meal on her own.  Find something else to occupy her, and her desire for a Happy Meal will go away.  You may have to repeat the technique for many years, but it works.  I don’t know of any child who has endured any negative affects from the word no from a loving parent who has their child’s best interest in mind.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest is assisting Ms. Parham with the class action lawsuit.  They have stated they have tried to meet with McDonald’s representatives; however, they were unsuccessful.  I wonder why, lol.  As a parent I don’t have a problem with the toys, I have a problem with the food.  Since I have a problem with the food, I don’t buy it.  I can exercise my right to purchase or not purchase.  Did you hear that Ms. Parham, exercise your right to purchase or  not purchase.  It’s one of the beautiful things that we have a right to do or not do in this country.

Many professionals believe that McDonalds is a big contributor to the obesity problem that we are now having with our youth.  I don’t blame McDonalds, I blame the parents for allowing their children to overeat and not exercise.  If a sandwich has 1500 calories, why would you give it to your child and than complain that the food has made your child obese.  If we don’t buy, they will change the products that are offered.  As parents we need to become accountable for our families, and stop blaming everyone and everything.

Do you agree or disagree with this lawsuit?  Leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts.  We would love to hear from you.

Kathy Griffin Judges Kids Pageant

Imagine this 4, 5 and 6 year old girls looking like miniature adults with make up, tans, big hair and Kathy Griffin in the mix. Kinda scary isn’t it. I watched Kathy Griffin’s show, My Life on the D-List this morning. Kathy and her mother were judging a kiddie beauty pageant. Now I’m not much on children being in beauty pageants, seeing children made up to look like miniature adults is not something that I as a parent condone. I use the words “miniature adults” lightly, hookers would probably describe that scene a little better.
Kathy Griffin was hilarious. During a segment of the show there was a little girl, maybe 6 or 7, with tons of fake hair and getting a spray tan. She proceeded to tell Kathy that “if you can’t tone it tan it” and “beauty is pain”. What experience would a 6 or 7 year old have with toning or experiencing pain in relations to a beauty routine? Bikini or eyebrow waxing, lol. How sad for a little girl to be thinking that way. During another segment, Kathy stated that she was scared shitless of those little bitches, referring to the girls, because she believed they would cut you. Confirming that kiddie pageants were treacherous business, the kids were out to win. She also brought a few of her Emmys to the pageant, afterall getting a trophy was the goal.

It also showed Kathy asking a group of little girls about make-up tips. They clearly didn’t have a clue about make-up, which tells me these girls can’t possibly be making decisions on what to wear or how to wear it, but they did know about “cupcake hands”. Now for you moms who don’t know, cupcake hands is a position on how to hold your hands.

Can someone explain to me how a 1 – 2 year old can be furious competition? There was a mom who believed her daughter at that age was competition. Is this a mother living through her daughter or what? Kathy advised the mother to not have cosmetic surgery on the child anytime soon. The mother responded not before she was 6. Too funny.

This was the first time that I watched Kathy Griffin’s show, it was great for few laughs this morning. I may tune in again.
