4 Ideas To Implement In Your Garden

Every mother wants a place of her own to relax and enjoy 5 minutes of peace and quiet.  And this is absolutely normal! While being a mother is a fantastic experience, everyone needs a few moments to recharge the batteries and meditate. Even specialists recommend it!

Sadly, most of the time, the house is too small and your relaxation spot may be difficult to implement considering that kids are all over the place. But don’t despair; you won’t have to wait for your kids to move out of the house to relax. You can think out of the box and transform the garden into an outdoor oasis where everyone can relax. With just a few clever gardening tips, you can transform your old backyard into a new purpose.  Check out tips below:

garden, relax

Build a pergola

Regardless of how small or big your backyard, a pergola will look gorgeous! Even more, there are so many designs out there that you can create a unique design in just a few steps.

Of course, if you’re the DIY kind of family, you can unite your forces and make your pergola out of salvaged materials. This way you’ll improve your garden’s design, get a bit of exercise and family time, and you won’t have to make a big investment. To me, this sounds like a fantastic idea!

The best part about a pergola is that you can cover it with vines, flowers and all sorts of decorative things. Thus you’ll get to have a cool-looking shadow in those torrid summer days, and you’ll enjoy that lemonade even more.

Invest in high-quality furniture

Your patio furniture doesn’t have to look like it’s been through several wars! If you want to relax, you have to extend the modern, stylish design from the inside, outside. Invest in furniture that will be pleasing to both the eyes and the skin. Get some large, luxurious chairs that can extend and some big, fluffy pillows. Also, you shouldn’t forget about the table – a cute, antique piece will make the morning coffee a lot more pleasant.

To make sure everything looks as elegant and inviting as possible, play with colors and textures. Let your creative inner self free and combine the furniture with the pergola covered in vegetation. The result will be stunning!

Make a special place for the kids

As a mother you can’t be selfish; especially when you have to share your oasis with the kids. So, you can divide the garden into areas, and you can have a relaxation area and a fun and games area. The fun and games area could have a sand pit, a tree house, a small garden where kids can learn about plants and more. The best part is that the children will get to play outside, and you can supervise them from your relaxation area.

A place for friends and family

Another garden tips, if you don’t want to divide the garden, you can make it all into one great place. Add a barbeque or a fire pit, some comfy chairs, and a table and you’ve got a fantastic place where to invite family and friends. While adults relax around the fire, kids can play in the garden.

Finally, as you can see there are plenty of ways to transform your garden without investing a fortune. And, if none of the above interest you, consider starting a vegetable garden. Kids will be thrilled to learn more about growing plants, and you might get to cut off some food costs during summer. It’s a win-win situation.  We hope you enjoyed our garden tips and you will implement a few.

5 Time Saving Skincare Tips for Busy Moms

Even though motherhood is one of the most beautiful things in the world, it can be very stressful.  Sleepless nights often take their toll on your skin and the area under the eyes.  We all know that a lack of sleep can make you look tired and dehydrated.  There’s good news, you can stay healthy and gorgeous no matter what.   Today, I’m sharing five useful skincare tips.  The tips will leave your skin glowing and you feeling empowered.

Skincare Tips For Busy Moms

Tea Bags to the Rescue

Every mom’s worst enemy is puffy dark circles.  Caffeinated green tea bags is the solution.  They do wonders for the under eye area.  Just soak them in hot water for a few minutes, and let them cool to room temperature before squeezing out the liquid.

Next, close your eyes, place the bags on them, and voila!  The caffeine will increase your circulation, and help get rid of the puffiness. Add a touch of concealer later on and you’re good to go!

Don’t Forget to Moisturize

Moisturizing should be an essential step in every woman’s skincare routine.  This is true for both young moms and those over 40. As soon as you reach a certain age, you really can’t over moisturize. Keep this in mind, and don’t skip this step at any cost.

Additionally, eye and face cream should be applied every night after cleansing. It’s important that you extend skincare routine to your neck and décolletage. These areas, too, need to be hydrated and well-nourished. In order to save time, get a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation and use it on daily basis.  Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Cream  is an excellent moisturizer.

Keep Your Skin Care Products at the Nightstand

The fact that you are a mom now doesn’t mean that you should ditch a skincare routine which works for you. We know that you often feel exhausted, and that using all those cleansers, toners, creams, and masks can be really time-consuming.  Keep moisturizers, toners and creams on your nightstand.

DIY Homemade Masks Do Wonders

Depending on your skin type, you can make a perfect face mask using the ingredients you already have in your kitchen! Banana is amazing when it comes to moisturizing, whereas milk provides a fresh and rejuvenated look for your tired skin. Plain yogurt is very handy, too, since it cleanses skin and tightens pores. When it comes to eggs, yolk is fantastic for dry skin, whereas egg whites do wonders for oily type.

However, if you are not keen on mixing all those ingredients all by yourself, you can always choose Natural Clay Face Mask  are fantastic for every skin type.

A Good Self Tanner Will Do the Trick

Sun-kissed skin has always been very attractive, and healthy glow is surely one of the things you want in your life – especially during summer. However, exposing your skin to harmful sun rays is not the best idea, especially if you hate re-applying sunscreen every two hours. You can always choose a moisturizer with self-tanning components, which takes only 5 minutes to apply and provides a gorgeous and vibrant look to your skin. Facial self tanners are also a good idea, since these will give a golden touch to your face.

The role of a mom doesn’t have to take its toll when it comes to your skin – you can take good care of it even when you’re too busy running around. It’s important to establish an effective routine that will save you some precious time, which will allow you to look fabulous even after a baby nightshift.

reading list, Kindle Books,

We all have a purpose in life. First, if you’re struggling to save your marriage or understand your purpose, add My Marriage, My Testimony to your reading list. Second, find yourself a quiet spot and prepare to devour it.  I literally read this book in one sitting.

Few of us know our purpose in life. This author explains how she found her calling and happiness after being miserable for years. Additionally, she discusses her troubled marriages and the pain of infidelity.  She goes on to discuss her upper class upbringing; however, she finds herself in the welfare office getting food stamps.  She shares how she thought she would die from the  pain of infidelity, but manages to find her calling as a result of it.

Are you finding yourself in any of this?  Furthermore, Darlene Jackson, painfully shares the mental abuse that was inflicted on her during her first marriage. After she finds the strength to leave her abuser, he refuses to financially support his own children.

Most importantly, she shares how she simply couldn’t bare to look at her second husband’s love child after his betrayal.  Understandably, she found herself hating her husband. Even so, God placed circumstances in her path that wouldn’t allow her to leave him.  She found herself at her lowest. During that time, she places her hands in God’s hands and finds her purpose in life. She also found the strength and courage to love her husband again by forgiving him for the pain he caused her. She states that she let go and let God change her husband from the inside out.

Eventually, he gave his life to God as well and they now have the marriage she dreamed of. She is now a minister who shares her story to help others who have lost their way, divorced, been betrayed or who are trying to understand their purpose in life.

Finally, I purchased this book on my Kindle.  It’s about 85 pages and easy to read.  The author has the ability to make you feel her story and also think about your life. Purchase a copy for yourself or give it as a gift. It’s a great gift for those who are struggling in any area of their life.

Disobedient Children Are Hazardous

Do you have children who are disobedient? Today, we’re sharing parenting tips on guiding disobedient children.  Did you know that disobedient children can become hazardous?  It’s hard to admit that our children are the darling little angels that we dreamed about.  Children want things their way, but they have a limited way of expressing their emotions.  As a result, they act out by crying, screaming, hitting, or using other avenues.

They go as far as they can by testing our limits. They want results, they want you to give in and allow them to have their way. There’s good news, disobedient behavior should pretty much disappear by the time children reach their teens.   At least the screaming, hitting and crying should disappear. However, prepare for a new set of behaviors to appear.

parenting tips, parenting, disobedient children

Disobedience becomes a habit with your child, so you need to take appropriate action quickly.  First, teaching your child to obey rules and to be respectful is a part of parenting.  Obeying rules is a part of living in a society.  Additionally, children must display respect at home and at school, while driving, playing on the beach and every other area of their life.  They must understand that disobedience can lead to:

  • Poor relationships
  • Becoming an underachiever
  • Poor grades
  • Problems with the law
  • Disrespect of others
  • Violence

If your child becomes disobedient and is displaying any of the problems above, you may want to assess what’s happening in your home and seek outside help if needed. Children will also act out if they’re feeling stressed, unloved, or witnessing problems at home. Children may also act out if:

  • A parent is absent or not involved
  • Alcohol or drugs are being abused
  • Rules or boundaries are not established
  • Family members yell and scream
  • Lack of money is causing problems
  • Violence is prevalent

Additionally, children will act out and become rebellious and disobedient if there are problems at home. Most importantly, ignoring your child’s disobedience and problems in your home will not make them go away.  Seeking counseling is a good way to help resolve problems before the child becomes out of control and encounters legal problems. As a result, they must understand the importance of obeying rules and the consequences they will encounter if they choose to disobey.

Years ago, my daughter and I attended counseling sessions. I accepted the fact that I didn’t have all the answers. It helped me tremendously to see things from a teenager’s perspective, and become a better parent during her teenage years.

Although I have parented successfully, I don’t consider myself to be a child expert by any means. I also know that schools, churches and many employers offer family counselors to assist families when they need help. Last, don’t be afraid or ashamed to seek it if you need it.  Once their child becomes hazardous, many parents wish they had reached out.  Don’t be a parent who looks at things in hindsight, deal with the problems when the occur. You and your child will be thankful for your insight.

6 Tips on Character Building for Children

Today, I’m sharing parenting advice on character building for children. First, children aren’t born with good character and it isn’t hereditary.  Helping to develop your children’s character is essential.  A person’s character is the essence of who they are.  As a result, children must learn that their character will surface in all areas of their life. As a result, parents should teach character by example.

character building for children

Character Building for Children:

Be Trustworthy – Teaching children to be honest is a must. Being honest is an important character trait.  Next, being trustworthy helps to build a good reputation, which is important in life.  Stealing, deceiving, cheating or being unreliable are big elements toward becoming untrustworthy.

Be Fair Teaching children that they must play by the rules is another important character trait.  Their are rules/laws for going to school, driving, and swimming on beaches and in pools.
